Unlucky Moon Recollections of a Rifleman | |

Unlucky Moon is a Vietnam War memoir that relies heavily on excerpts from the diary I kept during my tour in 1967-68 with the 101st Airborne Division. I carried the diary over hills and paddies, tucked into a large pocket of my jungle fatigues.
The second part of the book focuses on my return home to Brooklyn and my re-adjustment to civilian life.
The final
chapters describe my return to
the People's Republic of Vietnam, twenty-one years later, on a quest to
find a hamlet
around which my company fought an all day firefight during the Tet Offensive of 1968.
